Are We Able to Know God?
The knowledge we gain from God’s word gives us assurance that He is in control of the past, the present, and always. For, God is eternal. He is the beginning and the end. All things were created by him, and all things are sustained in him. Therefore, we can rely on the Lord, assured by his timeless character: his faithfulness, his integrity, his steadfastness, and his word.
1 John 5:9-10,
“If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. 10He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.”
Yet, can we believe the testimony and still have doubt? Is our faith so little that we do not have assurance, even in what we believe?
