Hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17“For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
Consider this:
⊕ Jesus spoke of these things to come. Are we expecting them?
LUKE 12:25-26
There will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
⊕ Can we imagine the wrath of the Lord? Who can endure the fierceness of His anger?
NAH 1:2-6
God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; 3The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked… 6Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire.
